Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the historic center of Cartagena. Use Avenida San Martín and head toward the north. Turn left onto Avenida del Lago, then continue until you reach the intersection with Calle 30. Turn right onto Calle 30 and drive straight until you reach the coast. The Monumento Unión de los Océanos is located at the end of this road. Make sure to check for parking availability nearby, as it can be limited in this area.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach the Monumento Unión de los Océanos by public bus, look for buses heading towards 'Bocagrande' or 'La Playa.' Board the bus at one of the bus stops in the city center. The fare is usually around 2,500 COP (Colombian Pesos). Get off at the stop closest to the coast and follow the signs toward the ocean. The monument is a short walk from the bus stop.

• Taxi

  Taking a taxi is a convenient option. You can hail a taxi from anywhere in Cartagena. Provide the driver with the address: Centro, Cartagena de Indias, Bolívar. The ride will usually cost between 10,000 to 20,000 COP, depending on your starting location. Ensure that the taxi is registered and agree on the fare before starting your journey.

• Walking

  If you are staying in the historic area of Cartagena, you can walk to the monument. Head towards the coast from the Plaza de los Coches, passing through the Walled City. Continue walking along the coast until you reach the Monumento Unión de los Océanos. This scenic walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes, and you can enjoy the beautiful views of the coastline along the way.
