From Ciudad Perdida, head towards Santa Marta. The journey is approximately 3 hours. Once you reach Santa Marta, follow the signs towards the Sierra Nevada mountains. Look for the road leading to Vereda Bella Vista, Sta. Marta - Cerro Kenedy. The El Dorado Nature Reserve is located along this route. Ensure you have a GPS or map app handy, as some signs may be limited. There is a parking area available at the reserve.

Take a shared minivan (known as a 'colectivo') from Ciudad Perdida to Santa Marta. The cost is around 30,000 COP per person and the journey takes approximately 3 hours. Once in Santa Marta, you will need to transfer to another colectivo heading towards Cerro Kenedy. Inform the driver you are going to El Dorado Nature Reserve. The cost for this leg is about 20,000 COP. After arriving at the reserve entrance, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the main area.
