From Ciudad Perdida, you will first need to return to the nearest town, which is Machete Pelao. This can be done by hiking back approximately 4-5 hours through the jungle trails. Once you reach Machete Pelao, you can arrange for a taxi or a shared vehicle to take you to Santa Marta. The drive from Machete Pelao to Santa Marta takes about 2 hours. Once in Santa Marta, follow the signs to Gaira. Head towards Cl. 26 and look for Playa Salguero, which is located at Cl. 26 #1-1, Gaira, Santa Marta, Magdalena.

After completing your hike back to Machete Pelao from Ciudad Perdida, locate the local bus station where you can catch a bus to Santa Marta. Buses typically run regularly and the fare is around 15,000 COP. The bus journey will take about 2 hours. Once you arrive in Santa Marta, you can take a taxi or a local bus to Gaira. For Gaira, ask the driver to drop you at Cl. 26. Playa Salguero is located at Cl. 26 #1-1, Gaira, Santa Marta, Magdalena.
