Car
If you are driving from the center of Salento, head southwest on Calle 6 toward Carrera 5. Continue straight onto the road that leads out of town, which will take you to the Cocora Valley. Follow the signs for Cocora Valley (Valle de Cocora). The drive is approximately 30 minutes and will take you through beautiful landscapes. Once you arrive at the entrance to the valley, you can find parking available.
Public Transportation
To reach Cocora Valley by public transport, start at the main square in Salento, known as Plaza de Salento. Look for the jeep (Willys) station, which is located near the plaza. Take one of the colorful jeeps heading to Cocora Valley. The fare is usually around 3,000 to 5,000 COP. The ride takes about 30 minutes, and the jeep will drop you off at the entrance to the valley. Be sure to check the schedule for return trips if you plan to come back to Salento.
