Bus
To reach Acaime Nature Reserve in Salento from Ibagué, start by heading to the central bus terminal in Ibagué, known as Terminal de Transportes de Ibagué. Look for buses that head to Salento; they usually leave every hour. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Salento, you will get off at the main bus stop in the town. From there, you can either take a taxi or walk towards the main square (Plaza de Bolívar) and ask locals for directions to Acaime Nature Reserve. It is about 12 kilometers from the town center, so taking a taxi (which should cost around 15,000-20,000 COP) is recommended if you prefer convenience.

If you choose to walk from the main square in Salento to Acaime Nature Reserve, head northwest on Calle Real. Continue walking straight as the street becomes Calle 6.
