Getting There

  • Bus

    From Ibagué, head to the Terminal de Transportes (Bus Terminal). You can take a taxi or walk there if you are nearby. At the terminal, purchase a ticket to Salento, Quindio. The buses to Salento usually leave every hour. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride which takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. After arriving in Salento, ask the driver to drop you off near the main square. From the square, you can take a local jeep or walk towards Boquia, which is approximately 4 km away.

    Once you arrive in Salento, go to the main square (Plaza de Bolívar). Look for the colorful jeeps that offer transportation to Boquia. The fare is usually around 3,000 to 5,000 COP. The jeep ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Make sure to tell the driver your destination is Boquia.

    If you prefer to walk from Salento to Boquia, start from the main square in Salento and head northwest on Calle 6 towards the road that leads out of town.
