Car
From Leticia, head east on Avenida José María Marín. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Internacional. Turn left onto Avenida Internacional and follow it for about 5 kilometers. You will see signs indicating the direction to Puerto Nariño. After approximately 20 kilometers, you will reach the port for Puerto Nariño. Here, you will need to park your car in a designated area, as no vehicles are allowed in Puerto Nariño. The parking fee is around 10,000 COP per day.
Boat
Once you arrive at the port, purchase a ticket for a boat to Puerto Nariño. The boat ride takes about 90 minutes and costs approximately 25,000 COP per person. Make sure to check the schedule for boat departures, as they may vary. Once you arrive in Puerto Nariño, follow the signs to Lago Tarapoto, which is about a 15-minute walk from the town center.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take a mototaxi in Leticia to the port for Puerto Nariño. The fare is about 10,000 COP per person. Upon arrival at the port, take a boat to Puerto Nariño as previously described. The total travel time will be similar to driving but may vary depending on mototaxi availability and boat schedules.
