Walking
From anywhere in La Candelaria, the Catedral Primada is easily accessible on foot. Head towards Plaza de Bolívar, the main square in the historical center. The cathedral is located on the east side of the plaza, next to the Palacio Liévano (Bogotá City Hall).
Public Transport
If arriving via Transmilenio, take any route that stops at the 'Universidades' or 'Las Aguas' station. From there, walk south along Carrera 7 (also known as Eje Ambiental) for approximately 10 minutes until you reach Plaza de Bolívar. The Catedral Primada will be on your right. A single Transmilenio fare costs approximately 2,900 COP.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Bogotá. Simply ask your hotel or any establishment to call a taxi for you, or use a ride-hailing app. Direct the driver to Plaza de Bolívar in La Candelaria. Taxi fares from most points in the city center should range from 5,000 to 10,000 COP. Be sure the taximeter is running. There may be extra charge of about a dollar at night, on Sundays and holidays, and about 2 dollars for trips to the airport.
