    From Villa de Leyva's Plaza Mayor, head north along Carrera 9 towards the outskirts of town. Continue for approximately 4 km along the road to Santa Sofia. The Paleontological Research Center will be on your right, across the street from El Fósil museum. The walk takes approximately 45-60 minutes. There are no tolls or entrance fees to access the road leading to the center.
