Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the city of Leticia. Head southwest on Avenida José María Córdoba towards the Rio Amazonas. Continue on this road for about 60 km. You will see signs for Calanoa as you approach. Look for the entrance on your right, which is well-marked. Note that the road can be bumpy in some areas, so be cautious while driving.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Leticia, you can take a bus that operates towards the Amazonas region. Buses leave from the main terminal in Leticia. Ask for a bus heading to Calanoa or Rio Amazonas, which is approximately 60 km away. The bus fare is usually around 10,000 COP. Once you arrive at the designated drop-off point, you may need to walk or arrange a motorbike taxi to reach the entrance of Calanoa. Make sure to confirm the drop-off point with the bus driver.
Motorbike Taxi
If you're in Leticia and prefer a quicker option, you can hire a motorbike taxi to take you directly to Calanoa. This can be arranged through local services or by asking at your hotel. The fare should be negotiated beforehand and may vary between 30,000 to 50,000 COP depending on your starting point. The ride will take about 45 minutes, and it’s a scenic journey through the region.
