Public Transport
From Santa Marta's city center, go to Calle 11 and Carrera 9 to catch a bus heading towards Palomino or Riohacha. Ask the driver to drop you off at Buritaca. The bus fare is approximately 12,000 COP. From the roadside, it's about a 20-25 minute walk (1 km) to the beach. Alternatively, you can take a mototaxi for around 3,000 COP.
Taxi
A taxi from anywhere in Santa Marta to Buritaca costs around 180,000 COP and takes approximately 45 minutes. From Buritaca town, local transportation options such as taxis and motorbike taxis are available to reach the beach.
Private Car
From Santa Marta, take the Troncal del Caribe (Highway 90) towards La Guajira. The drive is approximately 50 km and takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. There is a toll on the way. Parking near the beach costs around 20,000 COP for cars and 10,000 COP for motorcycles.
