Getting There

    From downtown Boulder, head west on Canyon Boulevard (CO-119). The trail can be accessed from multiple points along the road. A popular starting point is near Eben G. Fine Park, which is about a 1-block walk west of the Canyon and Pearl Street junction. There are sidewalks along Canyon Boulevard. Please be aware of vehicle traffic.

  • Public Transport

    Several City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) Trailheads are accessible by bus. The bus stop on Canyon is right before the junction with Pearl Street; from there, walk about one block west to the trailhead. RTD offers bus service to Boulder from Denver and surrounding areas. A three-hour local pass on HOP and RTD buses costs $3.

  • Parking

    If driving, there are several informal parking areas located along CO 119/Boulder Canyon Drive. Parking is also available at the Chapman Drive Trailhead, about 4 miles up Boulder Canyon. Parking at the Chapman Drive Trailhead is free. Be aware that parking can be limited, especially during peak hours.
