Getting There

    From the Pearl Street Mall, head east towards Broadway Street. Walk south on Broadway, then turn east onto Colorado Avenue. Continue east on Colorado Avenue for about 1 mile. Folsom Field will be on your left. This walk is approximately 1.5 miles and should take about 30 minutes.

  • Public Transport

    From Denver Union Station, take the Regional Transportation District (RTD) bus to Broadway & Regent Dr. From there, walk east on Regent Drive, then turn north onto Colorado Avenue. Walk a short distance to Folsom Field. The bus fare is around $3.

  • Driving

    From Denver, take US-36 North towards Boulder. Exit onto Colorado Avenue and head east. Continue on Colorado Avenue until you reach Folsom Field. Parking on campus for public events costs $30, payable via Text to Pay. East Campus parking is $20, with a free shuttle to the stadium. Folsom Field, located at 2400 Colorado Ave, Boulder, CO, has been the home of the Colorado Buffaloes football team for a century. Originally named Colorado Stadium, it was renamed in 1944 to honor legendary coach Fred Folsom. The stadium was dedicated on October 11, 1924, with a CU victory over Regis College. Throughout its history, Folsom Field has undergone several expansions and renovations. In 1956, a second deck was added, increasing the capacity to 45,000. In 1967, the removal of the running track allowed for 6,000 more seats. A major renovation in 2003 added club seats and suites, bringing the capacity to its peak of 53,750. The stadium's current capacity is 50,183 after renovations in 2014. Folsom Field is not only a sports venue but also a concert destination. It has hosted famous bands like Fleetwood Mac, the Beach Boys, and the Rolling Stones. The largest crowd ever at Folsom Field was for a 1977 rock concert. Besides football and concerts, Folsom Field hosts CU's spring commencement and the BolderBoulder 10K race finish. The stadium sits at an elevation of 5,360 feet, making it one of the highest stadiums in college football.
