Driving
The Georgetown Loop Railroad is located off I-70, about 45 miles west of Denver. Take Exit 228 for the Devil's Gate Station in Georgetown or Exit 226 for the Silver Plume Depot. Parking is free at both locations. Be aware that parking is limited to passenger vehicles only.
Public Transport
While there isn't a direct public transportation route from Denver to the Georgetown Loop Railroad, you can take a tram and bus to Idaho Springs, then a taxi to the railroad. From Denver Union Station, take the tram to Federal Center Station, then transfer to a bus to Idaho Springs. From there, a taxi can take you to the Georgetown Loop Railroad. The total cost is estimated between $70 and $95.
