Discover more about The Broadmoor Golf Club

The Broadmoor Golf Club, an integral part of The Broadmoor resort in Colorado Springs, has been a premier golfing destination since its establishment in 1918. Spencer Penrose, the visionary behind the resort, commissioned Donald Ross to design an 18-hole course that would rival the best in Europe. Ross himself considered The Broadmoor's course his best work, a testament to its challenging yet natural layout. Over the years, the club expanded, adding more holes designed by Robert Trent Jones in 1965. The current layout features the East and West Courses, each with its own unique character. The East Course, known for its wide, tree-lined fairways and expansive greens, has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments, including the U.S. Women's Open and the U.S. Senior Open. The West Course, with its rolling fairways, multi-level greens, and demanding hazards, offers breathtaking views of the mountains and Colorado Springs. A third course, the Mountain Course, designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, was closed in 2015 due to a landslide. The Broadmoor Golf Club has a long and storied history of hosting major championships. Jack Nicklaus won his first major tournament, the 1959 U.S. Amateur, on the East Course. The club has also hosted the U.S. Women's Open in 1995 and 2011, as well as the U.S. Senior Open in 2008, 2018 and 2025. Presidents, politicians, celebrities, and many of the game's greatest athletes have all graced its fairways. Beyond the championship courses, The Broadmoor Golf Club offers world-class practice facilities, including a multi-tiered full-swing area, chipping greens with bunkers, and putting greens. The Clubhouse exudes a refined country club atmosphere, with luxurious locker rooms, exceptional dining options, and a welcoming Member's Lounge.
