Public Transit
If you are starting from downtown Colorado Springs, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Mountain Metro Transit Route 3 bus, which travels south on Cascade Ave. You will need to get off at the stop near the intersection of Cascade Ave and Cheyenne Blvd. From there, transfer to Route 27, which will take you closer to Stratton Open Space. Get off at the 'Ridgeway Ave & Cheyenne Blvd' stop. From the bus stop, walk east on Cheyenne Blvd for about 0.5 miles until you reach Ridgeway Ave. Turn left on Ridgeway Ave and walk north for a short distance until you see the entrance to Stratton Open Space on your right.
Walking
If you are staying nearby, you can walk to Stratton Open Space from your location. For example, from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, head north on the main road until you reach the intersection with Ridgeway Ave. Turn left onto Ridgeway Ave and follow it for about 1 mile. As you walk, you'll enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains. The entrance to Stratton Open Space will be on your left.
Biking
If you're biking, you can follow the same route as walking. Start from the downtown area and head south on Cascade Ave. Once you reach Cheyenne Blvd, turn right and continue until you reach Ridgeway Ave. Turn left onto Ridgeway Ave and bike north for a short distance. The entrance to Stratton Open Space will be on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and adhere to all bike safety rules while navigating through the city.
