CU Events Center: Boulder's Premier Sporting and Entertainment Venue
Experience the excitement at CU Events Center, home of the Colorado Buffaloes and a premier venue for sports, concerts, and events in Boulder.
The CU Events Center is a central hub of activity on the University of Colorado Boulder campus, hosting a wide array of events throughout the year. As the home of the Colorado Buffaloes men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball teams, the arena is known for its electric atmosphere during games. Opened in 1979, the venue has a rich history of sporting events and concerts. Originally named the CU Events/Conference Center, it was later renamed the Coors Events Center in 1990 after a generous donation from the Adolph Coors Foundation. In 2018, the name was simplified to the CU Events Center. The arena has undergone several improvements over the years, including the addition of a maple surface designed to reduce injuries, new video boards, and a 44,000-square-foot practice facility. This practice facility even received LEED Platinum Certification for its sustainable design. The CU Events Center isn't just for sports; it also hosts concerts, conferences, and community gatherings. Its versatile space and modern amenities make it a popular choice for a wide range of events. Visitors can enjoy the energy of a live game, attend a cultural event, or participate in a conference, all within this dynamic venue.
