Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from downtown Durango, head south on Main Avenue. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with 5th Street. Turn right onto 5th Street and walk until it intersects with Camino Del Rio. Turn left onto Camino Del Rio and walk for about half a mile. The entrance to the Animas River Trail & Greenway will be on your right, just past the Durango Community Recreation Center.

From downtown Durango, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. Once you have your bike, head south on Main Avenue, then take a right on 5th Street. Continue until you reach Camino Del Rio, where you will turn left. Follow Camino Del Rio for about half a mile, and you'll find the Animas River Trail & Greenway entrance on your right, near the Durango Community Recreation Center.
