    Driving

    From Estes Park, start at the visitor center located at 500 Big Thompson Ave. Drive towards the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Enter the park and head towards Bear Lake Road. Follow Bear Lake Road, and then take the trail towards the Flattop Mountain trailhead, following signs for Eagle Cliff Mountain. Park at a pull out shortly after turning onto Bear Lake Road. Note that a park pass is required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park. A one-day pass costs $30 per vehicle.

    Public Transportation

    During the summer months, take the Estes Park Shuttle from the Estes Park Visitor Center. Board the shuttle and ask the driver to drop you off at the Bear Lake Trailhead. From Bear Lake, follow the hiking trails towards Eagle Cliff Mountain. Shuttle schedules vary, so check the schedule to plan your trip. A one-way fare is approximately $5.
