Beaver Creek, located just south of Avon, Colorado, is an unincorporated community and renowned alpine ski resort that offers a luxurious mountain experience. Originally inhabited by the Ute Native American tribe, the area transitioned from a ranching and agricultural community in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to a world-class resort in the latter half of the 20th century. The vision for Beaver Creek Resort began in the 1950s, but it officially opened in December 1980. The resort is known for its upscale, family-oriented accommodations and terrain. Beaver Creek comprises three villages: the main Beaver Creek Village, Bachelor Gulch, and Arrowhead. Each village offers unique services, dining options, and access to different parts of the mountain. In winter, Beaver Creek transforms into a haven for skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating.   • Public Transport

    From Vail Transportation Center, take the Core Transit bus to Beaver Creek Village. The bus departs every 4 hours and the journey takes approximately 21 minutes. A ticket costs $4.

    From Denver International Airport (DIA), take a shuttle service like Epic Mountain Express or Summit Express to Beaver Creek. The journey takes approximately 2.5-3 hours, depending on traffic.   • Driving

    From Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), take Cooley Mesa Road to Highway 6 and head east. Follow Highway 6 to I-70 east and proceed for approximately 20-25 minutes to exit 167 for Avon. At the bottom of the exit, take a right around the roundabout and continue straight through three more roundabouts until you see the entrance to Beaver Creek. Parking options include the Elk and Bear Lots at the base of Beaver Creek, with free shuttles to the village, or paid parking in the village garages. Free parking is available after 1:00 PM in the Elk and Bear Lots.
