Walking
The Pitkin County Library is located at 120 N Mill St in Aspen's downtown core, easily accessible on foot from most central locations. From Rubey Park, walk three and a half blocks downhill on Mill Street. The library will be on your left, across from the Hotel Jerome. No costs are associated with walking.
Public Transport
The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) provides free bus service within Aspen. Take any RFTA bus to Rubey Park, a central transfer point. From there, walk three and a half blocks downhill on Mill Street to the library. Seniors 65+ ride all RFTA buses for free with valid photo-ID; youth ages 6-18 ride for $1.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are readily available in Aspen. A taxi from Aspen Airport (ASE) to Aspen city center costs approximately $15-$19. From there, a short ride to the library will cost around $10-$15, depending on the distance and demand.
Parking
Limited 15-minute parking is available on Mill Street near the library. Long-term parking is available in the Rio Grande Parking Garage below the library for $2/hour, with a maximum of $12/day. Residential street parking is free for the first 2 hours. Use the Pay by Phone app for downtown core paid street parking.
