Walking

The Pitkin County Library is located at 120 N Mill St in Aspen's downtown core, easily accessible on foot from most central locations. From Rubey Park, walk three and a half blocks downhill on Mill Street. The library will be on your left, across from the Hotel Jerome. No costs are associated with walking.
Public Transport

The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (RFTA) provides free bus service within Aspen. Take any RFTA bus to Rubey Park, a central transfer point. From there, walk three and a half blocks downhill on Mill Street to the library. Seniors 65+ ride all RFTA buses for free with valid photo-ID; youth ages 6-18 ride for $1.

The Pitkin County Library, located in the heart of Aspen, Colorado, has evolved from a humble beginning in 1938 to a modern, multifaceted community resource. Originally housed in a corner of the Wheeler Opera House, the library has moved and expanded over the years to meet the growing needs of Pitkin County residents and visitors. The library offers a wide array of services, including access to books, e-books, and multimedia resources. It also provides public computers, Wi-Fi, and printing services. The LAB, a dedicated makerspace, provides equipment for craft projects, film editing, music production, and digital art creation.
