Start at the center of Leadville, near the intersection of Harrison Avenue and 6th Street. Head south on Harrison Avenue for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach the traffic light at the intersection with US-24. Cross the street and turn left onto US-24. Continue walking on the right side of US-24 for about 1.5 miles. You will pass by the beautiful scenery of the surrounding mountains. Stay on the side of the road designated for pedestrians. As you approach Tennessee Pass, look for the historical landmark sign which is located at 1527 US-24.
Bicycling
Begin your journey at the Leadville City Park located at 2nd and Harrison. From there, take 2nd Street east until you reach the intersection with US-24. Turn left onto US-24 and follow it for approximately 2.5 miles. Be cautious of traffic as this road is used by vehicles. Take in the scenic views as you ride, enjoying the fresh mountain air. You will arrive at Tennessee Pass at 1527 US-24, marked by a historical landmark sign.
Public Transportation
Start from the Leadville Transit Center located at 112 E 5th St. Check the local bus schedules for routes heading towards Tennessee Pass. Get on the bus that heads towards the area near US-24. Depending on the schedule and route, you may need to transfer at the nearby station. Once you reach the stop closest to US-24, disembark and walk approximately 0.5 miles north along US-24 to reach Tennessee Pass, which is located at 1527 US-24.
