Getting There

  • Public Transit - Bus

    From downtown Pueblo, head to the nearest bus stop for the Pueblo Transit system. Take the Route 5 bus towards the Pueblo Mall. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Pueblo Mall transfer point. Here, transfer to Route 7 towards the Pueblo Reservoir. This bus will take you directly towards the area near Lake Pueblo State Park. After about 30 minutes, get off at the nearest stop to the park, which is the Pueblo Reservoir stop. From there, it will be a short walk (approximately 10-15 minutes) along Pueblo Reservoir Road to reach the entrance of Lake Pueblo State Park at 640 Pueblo Reservoir Road.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local shop in Pueblo. Start from downtown Pueblo and head south on Santa Fe Avenue (US-50). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Pueblo Reservoir Road. Turn left onto Pueblo Reservoir Road and follow it for about 4 miles. The entrance to Lake Pueblo State Park will be on your right at 640 Pueblo Reservoir Road. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
