Getting There

  • Driving

    From Colorado Springs, head west on US Highway 24 towards Manitou Springs. Continue past Manitou Springs and turn left at the first light onto Fountain Avenue in Cascade. Follow the signs for the Pikes Peak Highway and Santa's Workshop to reach the Pikes Peak Gateway. Be aware that entry fees vary depending on the season. From May 23 to September 30, reservations are required to drive up Pikes Peak. Tickets cost $2 per car. During peak season, adult admission is $15, and children (6-15) are $5. A carload rate for up to 5 passengers is $50. Parking is available at various points along the highway, including Crystal Reservoir and the Summit.

  • Public Transport

    Take the free Manitou Springs Shuttle from various locations in Manitou Springs to connect with transportation options heading up to Pikes Peak. From May 23 to August 10, 2025, shuttles will be circulating on Pikes Peak with stops at Crystal Reservoir, the shuttle parking lot, Glen Cove, Devil's Playground, and the summit. Prices are $35/adult and $10/child. Alternatively, consider using Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT) to reach Manitou Springs and then transfer to a local shuttle or ride-sharing service for the final leg to Pikes Peak. A single fare on MMT is $1.75.
