From downtown Breckenridge, head north on Main Street, then turn left onto Ski Hill Road. Continue on Ski Hill Road until the pavement ends. Just past the Grand Lodge on Peak 7, you'll find a small parking area at the Peaks Trailhead. The Elk Dance Loop Trail begins here. Parking at the trailhead is limited. Consider using the Breckenridge Free Ride bus service to avoid parking hassles. Parking in Breckenridge costs around $1 per hour.

Take the Breckenridge Free Ride bus from various locations in town to the base of Peak 7. From the bus stop, walk along Ski Hill Road to the Peaks Trailhead, where the Elk Dance Loop begins. The Breckenridge Free Ride is free to use.

From central Breckenridge, follow Ski Hill Road westwards. Continue past the Grand Lodge on Peak 7 to reach the Peaks Trailhead. The Elk Dance Loop connects with the Peaks Trail. This is an uphill walk of approximately 1.5 miles from town. No costs involved.
