    From anywhere in Vail, head to the nearest bus stop for the ECO Transit system. Look for the stop labeled 'Vail Transportation Center' or any stop along the 'Vail to Avon' route. Board the bus that is heading towards Avon. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Disembark at the stop closest to Avon, usually at the intersection of Avon Road and Highway 6. From there, walk south along Avon Road until you reach Walking Mountains Lane, which is a short 5-minute walk. Turn right on Walking Mountains Lane and you will arrive at the Walking Mountains facility.

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Vail. From Vail, follow the bike paths south towards Avon. Take the bike path that runs parallel to the river; this scenic route will take you directly to Avon. Once you reach Avon, head towards Avon Road and then make your way to Walking Mountains Lane. The total biking distance is about 6 miles and should take around 30-40 minutes.

    If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk to Walking Mountains, start from the Vail Village area. Head south towards the bike path that runs along the river. Follow the path until you reach Avon. This walk is approximately 6 miles and will take about 2 hours. As you approach Avon, make your way to Avon Road, then turn onto Walking Mountains Lane to reach your destination.
