Public Bus
From the center of Vail, head to the Vail Transportation Center located at 246 S Frontage Rd W. Take the ECO Transit bus towards Avon. Get off at the 'Vail Pass' stop. From there, you can walk towards the White River National Forest. Follow the signs leading to the forest entrance, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Vail. Start your ride at the Vail Village and head towards the Vail Pass bike path. Follow the bike path until you reach the entrance to White River National Forest. The ride should take about 30 minutes, depending on your pace.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start at Vail Village and head west on Bridge Street. Continue straight until you reach South Frontage Road. Turn left and walk for about 1.5 miles until you reach the entrance to White River National Forest. This walk is scenic and should take around 40 minutes.
