Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Mamoudzou Beach. Head south on Route de Mamoudzou, which is the main road. Continue for about 5 km until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left fork onto Route de Gountsini. Follow this road for about 3 km until you see signs for Plage Gountsini. There is parking available near the beach, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.
Public Transportation
To reach Plage Gountsini via public transportation, look for a local bus heading towards Gountsini. Buses leave from the main transit hub in Mamoudzou Beach, which is usually crowded with vendors and travelers. The fare is typically around 500 KMF (Comorian Francs). Inform the driver that you want to go to Plage Gountsini. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive, it's just a short walk to the beach.
Taxi
You can also take a taxi directly from Mamoudzou Beach to Plage Gountsini. Taxis are readily available, and the journey should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey; the cost is generally around 3,000-5,000 KMF. The taxi will drop you off close to the beach entrance.
