If you are driving from Bear Mountain State Park, start by heading southeast on the main park road towards Route 9W. Turn left onto Route 9W and continue to follow the signs for I-87 South. Merge onto I-87 South and follow it for several miles. Then, take exit 15 for I-287 East toward White Plains. After merging, continue on I-287 until you reach the exit for I-95 North toward New Haven. Follow I-95 North for approximately 40 miles. Take exit 86 for CT-349 toward Groton. Merge onto CT-349 and follow signs for Bluff Point State Park. The park entrance will be on your left at 55 Depot Rd, Groton, CT 06340. Parking is available at the park entrance, and there are no additional costs for parking.

To reach Bluff Point State Park using public transportation, first take a bus from Bear Mountain State Park to the nearest train station, such as the Peekskill Train Station. From there, take the Metro-North Railroad train towards Grand Central Terminal. Transfer at Bridgeport to the Amtrak or local train heading towards New London. Get off at the Groton station.
