Car
From Bear Mountain State Park, head west on the Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP) toward US-6. Continue on the PIP for about 7 miles. Take exit 20 for US-6 W towards Peekskill. After about 2 miles, merge onto NY-202 W. Follow NY-202 until you reach the junction with NY-22 N. Merge onto NY-22 N and continue for approximately 15 miles. Then take a left onto Undermountain Rd. Continue for about 2 miles until you reach the Undermountain Trailhead Parking Area at 42.0287714, -73.4289326, where you can park your car.
Public Transportation
First, you will need to take public transportation from Bear Mountain State Park. The nearest bus station is in Peekskill, NY. You can take a taxi or rideshare service from Bear Mountain to the Peekskill train station (approximately 10-15 minutes). From Peekskill, take the Metro-North Railroad to the Wassaic station. Once at Wassaic, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Undermountain Trailhead Parking Area, which is approximately 10 miles away. Be sure to check the train schedules in advance, as service may vary.
