Getting There

  • Car

    From Hartford, CT, take I-84 West. Continue on I-84 for about 25 miles. Take exit 15 for Route 67 towards Southbury. Merge onto Route 67 South and continue for approximately 4 miles. Turn left onto Route 6 East and follow it for about 3 miles. Then, turn right onto Mount Tom Road. The park entrance will be on your right after about 1 mile. Be aware that there is a parking fee of $15 on weekends during peak season.

  • Car

    From New Haven, CT, take I-91 North to I-691 West. Merge onto I-84 West and follow the same directions as from Hartford. Make sure to check traffic conditions as this route can be busy.

  • Public Transportation

    Take a Metro-North train from New Haven or Hartford to Waterbury Station. From there, you can catch the CT Transit Bus Route 4 towards Southbury. Get off at the nearest stop to Route 67, and from there you may need to call a taxi or rideshare service to reach Mount Tom State Park, as public transport does not go directly to the park.

  • Car

    If you are coming from Danbury, take I-84 East and merge onto Route 67 North. Continue for about 5 miles and turn right onto Route 6 East, then follow the directions to Mount Tom Road as previously mentioned.
