Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, begin your journey by getting onto I-91 S from your location in Central Connecticut. Depending on where you start, you may need to navigate local roads to reach I-91. Once on I-91 S, continue for approximately 15 miles. Take exit 12 for I-691 E toward Meriden. Merge onto I-691 E and follow it for about 4 miles. Take exit 3 for US-5 S toward Wallingford/North Haven. Merge onto US-5 S. Continue straight for about 2.5 miles, and you will see Wharton Brook State Park on your right at 675 US-5, North Haven, CT 06473.

  If you are using public transportation, start by taking a CT Transit bus that services your area to the nearest bus terminal. For example, you can take the CT Transit bus route 213 or 228 to the Meriden Transportation Center. From the Meriden Transportation Center, transfer to bus route 501 towards New Haven. Ask the driver to let you off at the nearest stop to Wharton Brook State Park on US-5. You may need to walk approximately 0.5 miles from the bus stop to reach the park entrance at 675 US-5, North Haven, CT 06473. Check the CT Transit website for the latest schedules and fares.
