    If you're driving, the easiest way to reach Talcott Mountain State Park is to follow these directions: Start on I-84 and head towards Hartford. Take exit 39A for US-202 W towards Farmington. Continue on US-202 W for approximately 8 miles until you merge onto CT-10 N. Continue for about 2 miles and then turn left onto Simsbury Rd/CT-167. Follow this road for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with Summit Ridge Dr. Turn right onto Summit Ridge Dr, and Talcott Mountain State Park will be on your left. There is no entry fee, and ample parking is available.

  • Public Transportation

    For those using public transportation, take the CT Transit bus route 128 from Hartford to Simsbury. The bus will drop you off at the intersection of Simsbury Rd and Hartford Rd. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles north on Simsbury Rd, then turn right onto Summit Ridge Dr. Continue walking for about half a mile, and you will arrive at Talcott Mountain State Park. Be sure to check the current bus schedule for any changes in service. A round-trip bus fare is approximately $3.

    If you prefer to bike, you can bike from downtown Simsbury. Start on the Farmington River Trail and head north towards Simsbury.
