    From Danbury, you can take the Housatonic Area Regional Transit (HART) bus Route 3 towards New Haven. Board the bus at the Danbury Transit Center located at 1 Patriot Drive. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. You should disembark at the stop near the New Haven Green, then walk east on Elm Street for about 5 minutes until you reach 133 Elm St. The New Haven Free Public Library will be on your left.

    Start at the Danbury Train Station, located at 1 Railroad Place. Board the Metro-North Railroad's Danbury Line train towards South Norwalk. After approximately 30 minutes, transfer at the South Norwalk Station to the New Haven Line train towards New Haven. Once you arrive at New Haven Union Station, exit the station and walk north on Union Avenue. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles to reach Elm Street. Turn left onto Elm Street, and after a short walk, you will find the New Haven Free Public Library at 133 Elm St.
