Public Transport
From central Greenwich, walk to the Greenwich Metro-North Train Station (approx. 10-15 minutes). Board a train heading towards Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Once you arrive at Grand Central, transfer to the subway. Take the 4, 5, 6, or S train to 42nd Street-Grand Central station, then switch to the 7 train towards Flushing. Get off at the 34th Street-Hudson Yards stop. From there, walk to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, and catch a bus heading to New York's Upper East Side. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of 65th Street and Central Park West. Walk east on 65th Street until you reach Sheep Meadow, which is located inside Central Park.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can rent one from a local bike-sharing service. Start your ride from Greenwich towards the nearest path leading to the Bronx River Greenway. Follow the Greenway north to the Bronx, then head towards Manhattan via the Madison Avenue Bridge. Once in Manhattan, navigate to Central Park via 5th Avenue and then ride west until you reach Sheep Meadow located on the west side of Central Park around 65th Street.
Walking
If you are in the downtown area of Greenwich, you can enjoy a scenic walk towards the waterfront. Walk along the Greenwich Avenue towards the northeast until you reach the Greenwich Metro-North Train Station. From there, follow the public transport instructions to get to Central Park. If you prefer to walk directly in New York, you can take the subway from Grand Central and walk to Sheep Meadow from the nearest subway stop, which is 65th Street.
