Walking
From the 5th Avenue and 72nd Street entrance of Central Park, walk west into the park. Continue straight ahead; you'll soon see the Mall, a wide promenade, directly in front of you. No costs are associated with accessing the Mall by foot.
Public Transport
Take the B or C subway line to the 72nd Street station. Exit the station and walk east towards Central Park. Enter the park at Central Park West and 72nd Street. Walk east into the park, and you will find the Mall. Subway fare is $2.90 per ride.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Ask your driver to drop you off at Central Park South near the 5th Avenue entrance. From there, walk north into the park. The Mall will be directly in front of you. A taxi ride from Midtown Manhattan to Central Park South typically costs around $10-$15, excluding tip and potential surcharges.
