From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North Station. Take the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 125th Street station in Manhattan. From there, transfer to the 2 or 3 subway line at the 125th Street station, heading towards downtown. Get off at the 72nd Street station. Once you exit the station, walk east on 72nd Street until you reach Central Park. Enter the park and head northeast towards E 71st St, where Rumsey Playfield is located.

From downtown Yonkers, find the nearest bus stop for the Bee-Line Bus System. Take the BxM4C express bus heading towards Manhattan. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach 5th Avenue and 72nd Street. From there, walk east towards Central Park and enter the park. Continue walking northeast until you reach E 71st St, where Rumsey Playfield is situated.
