Metro/Norwalk Transit
From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich Metro-North train station located at 2 Railroad Ave. Purchase a ticket to Yonkers. Board the train and enjoy the scenic ride. Get off at the Yonkers station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk to the bus stop across the street. Take the Westchester County Bus #1 towards Getty Square. After a short ride, get off at the stop for Dock St. Walk down Dock St for a few minutes until you reach Van Der Donck Park at 41 Dock St.
Walking
If you are near the Greenwich waterfront area, you can take a scenic walk towards the ferry terminal at 2 Steamboat Rd. From there, you can follow the shoreline along the Long Island Sound. Continue walking along the waterfront, heading northwest for about 1.5 miles until you reach the border of New York. Once you reach the Yonkers area, keep walking towards Dock St, which should take about 30-40 minutes.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride from Greenwich towards the Bronx River Pathway. Start at the Greenwich Town Hall and cycle north towards the border of New York. Follow the pathway through the scenic areas until you reach the waterfront in Yonkers. Continue cycling to Dock St, where Van Der Donck Park is located. The total distance is roughly 5 miles, and it should take about 20-30 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.
