Train
From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich Train Station located at 2 Railroad Ave. Take the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line heading towards Grand Central Terminal. The journey to Grand Central takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and follow signs to 42nd Street. From there, walk west towards 8th Avenue.
Bus
From the center of Greenwich, you can catch the CT Transit bus route 10 towards Stamford. Get off at the Stamford Transportation Center and transfer to a Metro-North train heading to Grand Central Terminal. After arriving at Grand Central, exit to 42nd Street and make your way west to 8th Avenue.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Greenwich. Head towards the waterfront on Steamboat Road and follow the bike paths leading toward Old Greenwich. From there, you can take the scenic route along the coast up to the nearest train station to catch a train to New York City. Once you reach New York, ride towards Columbus Circle via Central Park South.

If you're up for a long walk, start at the Greenwich Town Hall and head northeast on Mason Street. Continue straight until you reach the Metro-North Railroad station. From there, take a train to Grand Central Terminal, then exit and walk west on 42nd Street to reach Columbus Circle.
