Once you enter the park, you'll find ample parking available. The beach area is just a short walk from the parking lots. Please note that there is an entrance fee of $15 for Connecticut residents and $22 for non-residents during peak season. Be sure to bring cash or a credit card for the entrance fee.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take the Shore Line East train service to Madison Station. From the station, you can catch a local bus (Madison Shuttle) that operates during the summer months. The bus will drop you off at the entrance of Hammonasset Beach State Park. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as it may vary. The train fare will depend on your departure location, so be sure to check the current rates on the Shore Line East website.
Walking
