Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Meriden, start at the Meriden Green Park. Head north on State Street until you reach the intersection with East Main Street. Turn left onto East Main Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with North Broad Street. At this intersection, you can catch a bus or continue walking. If you prefer to take the bus, look for the CT Transit Route 1 bus heading towards Southington. Get off at the stop near the Southington Town Hall, then walk north for about 0.5 miles on North Main Street. The Barnes Museum will be on your right at 85 N Main St, Southington.

  From the Meriden train station, you can take a CT Transit bus. Board the CT Transit Route 1 towards Southington. Stay on the bus for approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the stop near the Southington Town Hall. From there, walk north on North Main Street for about 0.5 miles. The Barnes Museum will be on your right at 85 N Main St, Southington.

  If you prefer to bike, start at the Meriden Green Park and head north on State Street. Continue onto East Main Street, then North Broad Street. You can take the bike path along the streets to make your ride smoother. Eventually, transition to North Main Street in Southington. The Barnes Museum is located at 85 N Main St, Southington. The ride is approximately 3 miles and should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace.
