To reach Old Stanley Mansion by car, first ensure you are on the main roads of Middlesex County. From the center of Middletown, get onto Route 9 North, which is the quickest way to New Britain. Continue on Route 9 until you reach Exit 24, which leads you onto I-84 West toward Waterbury. Stay on I-84 for about 10 miles. Take Exit 39 toward New Britain and merge onto Main Street. Follow Main Street for approximately 1.5 miles, then turn right onto West Main Street. Continue for another half mile, and you will find Old Stanley Mansion on your left at 41.6982° N, -72.7780° W. There is no parking fee, but ensure to check for any local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, start by taking a bus from your location in Middlesex County to the New Britain Bus Terminal. You can check the Connecticut Transit website for the bus schedule. Once you arrive at the New Britain Bus Terminal, you can either walk or take a local taxi. If you walk, head west on West Main Street for about 1.2 miles until you reach Old Stanley Mansion. The bus fare is typically around $1.75, and if you choose a taxi, the fare will depend on the distance but expect it to be around $10-15.
