Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Norwalk, start at the Norwalk Green. From the Green, head north on Main Street towards Connecticut Avenue. Continue on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left onto Washington Street and walk until you reach the waterfront area near the Maritime Aquarium. Here, you will find the Norwalk Ferry service that operates to Sheffield Island. Make sure to check the ferry schedule beforehand for the operating hours. Purchase your ticket at the ferry terminal and board the ferry to Sheffield Island, which will take you directly to the lighthouse.

• Public Transport

  Begin your journey at the Norwalk Transit District bus terminal. Take the Route 9 bus towards South Norwalk Station. Once you arrive at South Norwalk Station, transfer to the Route 11 bus towards the Maritime Aquarium. Get off at the stop closest to the aquarium. From there, walk to the ferry terminal located by the aquarium where you can catch a ferry to Sheffield Island. Ensure you check the ferry schedule before your trip to confirm departure times.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, start from the Norwalk Green and head towards the waterfront area. Follow Main Street until you reach the Maritime Aquarium. There are bike lanes available along most of Main Street. Once at the aquarium, you can lock your bike at the designated bike parking area and proceed to the ferry terminal to catch the ferry to Sheffield Island.
