To reach the Whitestone Bridge from central Norwalk, start by heading to the Norwalk Transit District bus stop at 125 East Avenue. Take the Route 10 bus towards South Norwalk Station. After about 15 minutes, get off at the South Norwalk Station. From there, transfer to the Metro-North Railroad train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the 125th Street Station in Manhattan. Once you arrive, you will need to take the MTA bus Q44-SBS from the 125th Street and 2nd Avenue stop. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Whitestone Bridge stop.
Train and Bus
Begin your journey at the Norwalk Railroad Station located at 1 Washington Street. Board the Metro-North train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. After about 40 minutes, disembark at the Grand Central Station. From Grand Central, exit and walk to the MTA bus terminal. Take the Q66 bus towards Flushing Main St. and ride for about 25 minutes. Get off at the Whitestone Bridge stop. Follow the signs to the bridge area once you disembark.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local shop in Norwalk. Start your ride from the Norwalk River Valley Trail, heading north. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with the East Main Street. Turn right and continue riding until you reach the Whitestone Bridge. The ride should take approximately 1 hour depending on your speed.
