    Start by exiting Ski Sundown and head south on Route 4. Continue on Route 4 for about 3.5 miles until you reach the junction with Route 69. Turn left onto Route 69. Keep driving for approximately 2 miles, then turn right onto Nassahegon State Forest road, which is well-marked. Follow this road to the parking area for Nassahegon State Forest.

  • Public Transportation

    From Ski Sundown, you can take the CT Transit bus line 12 towards Waterbury. Get off at the nearest stop to Route 4. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile along Route 4 to reach the junction with Route 69. Once you reach Route 69, you can either continue walking or call a local taxi service to take you to Nassahegon State Forest, which is about 2 miles away from that junction.

  • Walking/Biking

    If you are feeling adventurous and are already near Ski Sundown, you can walk or bike along Route 4. Follow Route 4 south for about 3.5 miles until you reach Route 69. Turn left onto Route 69, and then after about 2 miles, you will find the entrance to Nassahegon State Forest. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially if you're biking.
