Car
From Ski Sundown, head southeast on Ski Sundown Rd toward New Hartford Rd. Continue on New Hartford Rd (Route 219) for about 2.2 miles. Merge onto I-84 E via the ramp to Hartford. After approximately 10 miles, take exit 36 for CT-9 S toward Middletown. Continue on CT-9 S for about 12 miles and take exit 24 for Berlin Turnpike/US-5. Merge onto Berlin Turnpike/US-5 and continue for about 4 miles. Turn right onto Ragged Mountain Rd. The preserve will be on your left, approximately 1 mile down the road.

From Ski Sundown, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest transit station, which is in New Hartford. Once at the station, take the CT Transit bus toward Hartford. You will need to transfer at the Hartford Union Station to catch a bus heading toward Berlin. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance. Your destination will be near Ragged Mountain Rd, approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus stop. Be prepared for potential fare costs for the bus, which may vary.
