From Stamford Station, take the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line towards Grand Central Terminal. The journey to New York's Grand Central Terminal takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, follow the signs to the subway (you will need to go downstairs).

At Grand Central, take the 42nd Street Shuttle (S train) towards Times Square. Get off at the Times Square-42nd Street station. From there, transfer to the 1, 2, or 3 trains towards 34th Street or downtown. Get off at 34th Street-Penn Station.

Once you exit the subway at 34th Street-Penn Station, head northeast on 34th Street towards 6th Avenue. Continue walking until you reach 6th Avenue, then turn right. Walk a few blocks until you reach Rockefeller Plaza, where FAO Schwarz is located at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

Alternatively, from Stamford, you can take a bus operated by Greyhound or Peter Pan to New York City. Once you arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, follow the signs to 42nd Street and walk east towards 6th Avenue. Then, head north to Rockefeller Plaza.
