Bus
To reach Van Der Donck Park at 41 Dock St, Yonkers from Stamford, start by heading to the Stamford Transportation Center. Take the Metro-North train on the New Haven Line towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the Yonkers station. Once you exit the station, walk to the nearest bus stop and catch the Bee-Line Bus #1 or #2 towards Getty Square. Get off at the stop closest to Dock St. From there, it's a short walk to the park entrance.
Train
Begin your journey at the Stamford Transportation Center. Board the Metro-North train on the New Haven Line heading to Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at the Yonkers station. Exit the train and head to the street level. From there, you can take a taxi, or if you prefer to walk, it’s about a 20-minute walk to Van Der Donck Park. Head west on Main St, then turn left onto Warburton Ave, and finally right onto Dock St to reach the park.
Walking
If you are in the vicinity of downtown Stamford, you can make your way to the Stamford Transportation Center. From there, take the Metro-North train to Yonkers. Upon arrival at the Yonkers station, you can walk to Van Der Donck Park by heading west on Main St, continuing until you reach Warburton Ave. Turn left onto Warburton Ave and then right onto Dock St, where you will find the park entrance.
Biking
For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike in Stamford and head towards the Stamford Transportation Center to catch the Metro-North train to Yonkers. After arriving at the Yonkers station, you can ride your bike along Riverdale Ave, which leads you towards Warburton Ave. From Warburton Ave, turn onto Dock St to reach Van Der Donck Park. Make sure to follow bike lanes where available and observe local traffic rules.
