Webb Mountain Discovery Zone is a 171-acre park in Monroe, Connecticut, designed as an outdoor learning center. Opened in October 2007, the park aims to connect visitors with nature through hands-on experiences. It features a comprehensive interpretive trail system with signage and a self-directed scavenger hunt. The park has three marked loop trails, each offering unique sights. Loop #1 (1.1 miles) includes a 19th-century quarry and kiln. Loop #2 (1.8 miles) passes ponds, hayfields, mountain laurel, and birch trees. Loop #3 (1.6 miles) goes by a large vernal pool. These trails are well-maintained and easy to navigate, making them suitable for children. Visitors can explore learning stations covering rocks, minerals, plants, wildlife, ecology, and Native American and Colonial history.
