If you're driving from anywhere in The Quiet Corner, head toward I-84. From Mansfield, take CT-195 South until you reach I-84 West. Merge onto I-84 West toward Waterbury. After about 15 miles, take exit 39 for Farmington Avenue/CT-4. Turn right onto Farmington Avenue/CT-4 and continue for approximately 1.5 miles. Then, turn left onto Mountain Road. The Hill-Stead Museum will be on your left at 35 Mountain Rd, Farmington, CT 06032. There is parking available on-site.
